Ellen Lucius
Hello, I’m Ellen, a stained glass artist with a love of colour, light and a little bit of soldering magic! I create unique glass art using the copper foiling (Tiffany) method. I also run hands-on workshops for anyone who wants to give this beautiful craft a try.
I first discovered glass many years ago whilst working as a junior doctor in Townsville, Australia. Life took me on a different path, and I took a break (30 years!) to raise 3 wonderful children and work as an NHS GP.
Fast forward to 2022, and I finally picked up my glass cutter again…. and haven’t looked back since. I love the intricacy and endless creative possibilities of the Tiffany method. Making each piece is all consuming and strangely peaceful- certainly my happy place!
The best bit for me is seeing someone light up when they take home a piece of stained glass that they love, knowing it will brighten their home for years to come.
Whether you would like to buy one of my creations, or make your own in a workshop, I would love to share this passion with you. Just be warned, this can become very addictive!

Ellen’s husband is number one supporter and appreciator of her work. He provides invaluable help with technology, organisation and heavy lifting. He also does a mean flapjack.
Bob Lucius
Our Assistant Manager is a constant source of critical art appraisal. He is very warm on cold days and happy to take the team on walks to clear their heads.
